Typical recipes
This French delicatessen box is dedicated to all lovers of Provencal cuisine and specialties of Provence.
The Camargue rice is a unique product of the terroir, cultivated in the region since the 16th century. It’s labelled Camargue Protected Geographical Indication, and offers many new varieties such as red rice or black rice.
To this must be added culinary preparations such as terrine and « pieds paquets ». These are specialties cooked by a family manufacture in Aix, which respects traditional recipes. The pieds et paquets is an ancestral recipe that comes from Haute Provence. It will delight all those who love family and rustic dishes, rich in authentic flavors. These products are GMO-free, preservative-free, palm oil-free with no taste enhancing, but with maximum ingredients from local products.
Concerning desserts: orange flower shuttles are a very old specialty of Marseille. The biscuit evokes the shape of the Mediterranean fishing boats. Delicately scented, you may taste it nature to accompany a good coffee or tea.
It marries wonderfully with these delicious homemade jams of forgotten Provencal fruits, like the jujube, which is called in Provence "the chicourle". They are cooked in an old-fashioned cauldron, and contain only natural ingredients without any dye or additives.
