This is a great classic, generally appreciated as a gourmet gift.
It has been the specialty of this confectionery near Aix since its creation in 1880. These calissons strictly follow the specifications of Aix manufacturers, and are composed of 46% candied melon, almonds and orange peel. The glaze is fine and delicate, scented with vanilla.
The calissons won the "Grand Prix de France" award ... to the delight of gourmets.
