The Aix calisson par excellence, a specialty of this confectionery from Aix area, is represented in a traditional version (vanilla flavor) and in a fruity version. The fruit topping flavors are: blackcurrant, lemon, pistachio and apricot.

It was awarded "Grand Prix of France" and may join the 13 Christmas desserts as refined delicacy. These Aix calissons perfectly meet the specifications of the Aix manufacturers, and are composed of 46% candied melon, almonds and orange peels. The icing is thin and delicate, flavored with vanilla.

This is a great classic that is generally appreciated as a gift.

Ingredients of traditional calissons: Candied melons (melons, sugar, glucose syrup), almonds, sugar, icing sugar, candied orange peels (orange peels, sugar, glucose syrup), unleavened bread (potato starch , water), glucose syrup, egg whites, vanilla flavoring.

Delicious

I have not opened my parcel as I am overseas and travel home in a few days where my parcel is waiting. Everything I ordered I ate last year. All really wonderful, I am already wondering how I can wait until Christmas!
