Tian dish for oven baking

Cook healthy in this glazed earthenware tian dish that is safe. Mediterranean cuisine has always made centenarians, it is well known. So carefully choose good organic sun vegetables, and slice them in alternating layers with herbs, and a dash of virgin olive oil (Provencale if possible ...) Put in the oven and you're done!

In the past, the Provencal tian was used as a terracotta sink, to rinse fruits and vegetables and wash dishes. Which explains its deep shape tightened at the base and flared at the top. It can be with or without a handle, but almost always with a spout to evacuate the rinsing water, originally.

It’s handmade by a potter from Vallauris who perpetuates the tradition of culinary pottery anchored in the city since the seventeenth century. It offers an optional sgraffito decor, that is to say a scratch drawing on the base of the ceramic, featuring leaves or fruits. Otherwise, the bottom remains of the color of terracotta.
