A well-known drawing

This table cloth on a white background is printed with large friezes in the direction of the height, one of them being centered. The middle band features two crested birds in motion. They are delicately placed on tufts of grass, and seem to be interested in small butterflies. Pretty flowers with light foliage are arranged around the birds, and a fine scroll frieze frames this central band. On either side, a fringe of fabric is simply dotted with small flowers, leaving the bottom very airy. The outer edges end with a floral frieze highlighted by two lines of complementary colors.

These graceful birds and their satellite butterfly are well known to Provencal people. Indeed, they are borrowed from the ancestral decorations of the faience traditionally made in Moustiers. The print faithfully reproduces the pattern with all its details which makes the charm of these placemats more than delightful.

Romantic dinner or wedding

Some tips : to wash your laundry, we recommend Marseille soap, a natural and really effective product that the washerwomen (lavandieres) of Provence used formerly. In addition to being environmentally friendly and harmless to the skin and the environment, it cleans and removes stains perfectly without damaging fabric. You can also use white vinegar as a softener: it's natural too. Do not hesitate and follow the example of Provencal housewives, back to fundamentals: it's good for you, for your home, and for the planet!

For TEFLON treated or coated fabrics: we recommend to iron on the reverse side of the fabric to reactivate the properties of anti-stain treatment.

Would have liked to see blue/white mats

good mats - the only disappointment is the colour which seemed much more blue on the website, and is described as blue whereas it is very definitely a lavender/pale purple colour.
