The essential accessory
These navy cotton napkins are intended to set a table with the print Bastide by Marat d'Avignon®. So you can choose the same color as your tablecloth, with always a quality of high-end confection. In this case, however, you will have to decide the pattern. Indeed, there are two for this collection: Bastide stripe or Bastide allover. The first is a reminder of the bands decorated with paisley and floral garland patterns that can be found on the rectangular tablecloths of the collection. The second is simply a background of color covered with typical calissons.
Help for your compositions
Here are the colors of the Bastide print: navy and white, lavender and yellow, red and ecru, or turquoise and ecru. They are available in stripe or allover fabric, which allows to make several combinations. If you want a classic dressage, you will take the pattern that keeps the principle of tablecloth and perfectly matching napkins. But if you want to bring dynamism to your set, you may choose the complementary motif. Here is an example: the navy blue striped napkins will break a little the monotony of a navy blue allover tablecloth. Another one: the allover turquoise cloth napkins will create a touch of understated elegance on a rectangular Bastide tablecloth of the same color.
There are then other possible combinations between the colors. Imagine buying the Bastide placemats: you use them daily, and you want to play on the colors. You could choose a different color from the fabric of your placemats but which harmonizes well.
One more idea: if you need a large table service, you have the option to take one or more lots of 6 napkins of each pattern to alternate on the table.

Some tips : to wash your laundry, we recommend Marseille soap, a natural and really effective product that the washerwomen (lavandieres) of Provence used formerly. In addition to being environmentally friendly and harmless to the skin and the environment, it cleans and removes stains perfectly without damaging fabric. You can also use white vinegar as a softener: it's natural too. Do not hesitate and follow the example of Provencal housewives, back to fundamentals: it's good for you, for your home, and for the planet!
For TEFLON treated or coated fabrics: we recommend to iron on the reverse side of the fabric to reactivate the properties of anti-stain treatment.
