The association calisson-olivette

A great classic of the provençal print in high quality version is presented here. Calissons are widely used in the regional tradition for everyday linen. The regular repetition of small patterns on a background of color brings more cheerfulness than a plain fabric, while keeping the spirit of simplicity.
The frame of Olivettes border ennobles these octagonal table placemats.

A wide frieze of olive branches in garland carries black olives and green olives. The foliage is thick, and whatever the color of the item, the garland keeps real colors. This gives the drawing depth thanks to the contrast. Small geometric finishing edges enhance the realistic effect. The result is really successful. These very original placemats will bring cachet to your dinner.

Some advice

With their octagonal shape, the Calissons Olivettes placemats are suitable for a rather festive use. They will highlight a table set indoors or outdoors for an elegant dinner. The table accessories are the same as the simpler rectangular mats in the Calissons range. The napkins are made in the allover print, as the basket of bread. This does not overload the eye with different patterns. Elegance is often sober.

An other format?

If you prefer the classic format, there is another version of the octagonal Calissons Olivettes placemat in rectangular. A different option for an irreproachable quality.

Some tips : to wash your laundry, we recommend Marseille soap, a natural and really effective product that the washerwomen (lavandieres) of Provence used formerly. In addition to being environmentally friendly and harmless to the skin and the environment, it cleans and removes stains perfectly without damaging fabric. You can also use white vinegar as a softener: it's natural too. Do not hesitate and follow the example of Provencal housewives, back to fundamentals: it's good for you, for your home, and for the planet!

For TEFLON treated or coated fabrics: we recommend to iron on the reverse side of the fabric to reactivate the properties of anti-stain treatment.
