The Tradition print by Marat
Marat d'Avignon®, established in Provence since 1948, strives to bring alive the old and traditional Provencal patterns that were imported from India. Tradition is one of these. In the case of a rectangular cloth, it is proposed here in linear, that is to say in succession of large strips juxtaposed. They are themselves composed of different floral or more graphic friezes that stand out in contrasting color. They are interposed between bands covered with calissons. The three colors have a very heterogeneous rendering: the blue and white is very discreet, while the other colors are stronger. In all configurations, superior quality is characteristic of this Provencal fabric, perfect as a Thanksgiving tablecloth, in orange for instance.
Advantage of anti-stain
Tablecloths used daily are often prone to stains. It would be a shame to have to wash them after every accident. This is why we can use an acrylic treatment that makes the fabric waterproof by covering the printed side of the cotton. This allows you to erase a stain in one gesture, without laundry and especially without having to iron afterwards. It is a nice advantage for everyday use as well as special occasions.
Dimensions & coordinates
Before choosing dimensions, make sure that you have taken into account the drop-off: it should generally be between 8 and 14 inches from the table top. This calculation must be done for the length, because the width is imposed by the standard of manufacture. Here it is 61 inches. In France, the more popular dimension for length is 118 inches.
If you like the Tradition collection, the square tablecloth and the round tablecloth are also made of cotton or coated cotton, for a service table, for example.
Make sure to consult the accessories available in the same collection to complete your service: napkins, placemats and a breadbasket are essential for setting up a pretty table. For the kitchen, apron, gloves and pot holders can be useful.
