A flawless confection
A very beautiful cotton provides the material for this Jacquard woven tea towel made with fine finishes by a Provencal textile factory. The weave mode gives a thick texture and shimmering patterns. This brings out the fishes in a very luminous way, as if their scales shine. A small cord placed on the back of the cloth allows to suspend it to a kitchen hook.
You will surely use them as hand towels, or as dish towels with comfortable dimensions of 20 by 28 inches. As textile products of good quality, they can also be used to hold dishes brought to the table when you have party. Take it out as a wink for a fish dinner. This will give your guests a fun conversation topic!
Enjoy the Sardine pattern
The sardines cross in a staggered pattern on parallel lines and show their silver and shiny flank on a linen-colored background. The games of fish scales are found on the navy blue border lined with complementary colors. The word sardines written with outdated fonts gives a vintage side to these large towels. It will creep into your kitchen with humor and elegance.
The Marseille story!
Do you know the story of the sardine so big that it clogged the port of Marseille? This is a true story dating back to the 18th century, that an unfortunate spelling distorted. In reality, a frigate "Sartine" named after the Minister of the Navy under Louis XVI, sank at the entrance to the Port de Marseille, in 1780. His captain was killed, there was a navigation error that failed the boat on rocks. As the ship was very large, this accident resulted in blocking any entry or exit from the Vieux-Port for a long time. The Marseillais of course amplified this story when telling it, and had fun to change the "t" of Sartine in "d", to deviate on the sardine.

Some tips : to wash your laundry, we recommend Marseille soap, a natural and really effective product that the washerwomen (lavandieres) of Provence used formerly. In addition to being environmentally friendly and harmless to the skin and the environment, it cleans and removes stains perfectly without damaging fabric. You can also use white vinegar as a softener: it's natural too. Do not hesitate and follow the example of Provencal housewives, back to fundamentals: it's good for you, for your home, and for the planet!
For TEFLON treated or coated fabrics: we recommend to iron on the reverse side of the fabric to reactivate the properties of anti-stain treatment.
