Quality of Jacquard woven
Above all, it is a high-quality cloth that is made from a fabric with impeccable hold. The cotton is woven Jacquard, which brings the hand towel a dense texture, for a very effective absorption. You can also use it as a dishcloth because it remains both flexible and resistant, and lint-free. The finish is ensured by hems stitched on each side. A small fastener is intented to hang it on a hook.
A painting of Provence
This kitchen towel takes you directly at feet of the Ventoux Mountain, in a huge lavender field. In this landscape of linen color, there is a stone mas (provencal farmhouse) with a cypress alley and an orchard. The Jacquard weave brings sun on the flowering stems, and the reliefs of the mountain: it looks like a black and white photo. The painting is underlined in ecru in a natural background. Some stems of lavandin and an olive branch with black olives are superimposed on the frame, placed in angle. The inscriptions are written with a vintage font to give an old character to the decoration. The vertical borders are colored green, orange and purple and embellished with very discreet Provencal motifs. The right border is wider and uses more warm colors. This item is a decorative cloth.
Lavender & provencal fabric
How to dissociate lavender from Provencal fabrics? Impossible so they are closely related. In the past, lavender was used by the famous Provencal lavandieres to wash and perfume linen. This is not a coincidence: this plant has very powerful hygienic properties. In addition, it is repulsive for insects, including mites. That's why we like to place dried flowers in our cupboards. Lavandin is preferred for its pronounced camphor perfume that lasts a long time and soothes the ambience of a bedroom or a dressing room.

Some tips : to wash your laundry, we recommend Marseille soap, a natural and really effective product that the washerwomen (lavandieres) of Provence used formerly. In addition to being environmentally friendly and harmless to the skin and the environment, it cleans and removes stains perfectly without damaging fabric. You can also use white vinegar as a softener: it's natural too. Do not hesitate and follow the example of Provencal housewives, back to fundamentals: it's good for you, for your home, and for the planet!
For TEFLON treated or coated fabrics: we recommend to iron on the reverse side of the fabric to reactivate the properties of anti-stain treatment.
