Beautiful weaving
On a very textured creamy background, large flowers like dahlias are lost at the end of a stalk flanked by leaves and small flower buds. It looks like they are embroidered as the relief is highlighted, and the drawing remains airy. A wide border of arches of circles and two flower borders, one clear, the other dark, make a large frame. A work of remarkable quality for this floral tablecloth!
If jacquard woven is made of cotton only, we make tablecloths, napkins and kitchen towels. With a proportion of polyester, it is more dedicated to decoration because it has a more "wooly" and warm style, with a very good performance. It is then used for plaid, curtains, tablecloths and table mats, sofa throws, bed linens and unique table covers.
An impeccable hold!
A few words on the fabric called Jacquard named after an inventor from Lyon, South of France. In 1801, an ingenious gentleman designed a mechanical loom that allows for complex combinations of weaving thanks to programmable punch cards. This system can be considered as the ancestor of computers! This mechanism makes it possible to look one side and the reverse of a pattern with the same pleasure because both stand out slightly in relief.
In France today, textile industries still produce Jacquard woven fabric. An infinity of drawings and geometric shapes can be designed by mixing colors. This technique adapts naturally to the motifs of the very rich Provencal folklore. This is why we find Jacquard woven in the regional tradition alongside printed cotton.

Some tips : to wash your laundry, we recommend Marseille soap, a natural and really effective product that the washerwomen (lavandieres) of Provence used formerly. In addition to being environmentally friendly and harmless to the skin and the environment, it cleans and removes stains perfectly without damaging fabric. You can also use white vinegar as a softener: it's natural too. Do not hesitate and follow the example of Provencal housewives, back to fundamentals: it's good for you, for your home, and for the planet!
For TEFLON treated or coated fabrics: we recommend to iron on the reverse side of the fabric to reactivate the properties of anti-stain treatment.
