This item includes three types of variations: the allover print (stripe version is available HERE), the treatment (coated or not), and the color (4 different). Before adding this product to the cart, you must indicate your options, which is not necessarily simple so this collection is beautiful. Here are some tips to help you.
The fabric treatment will do you the greatest service daily. Indeed, the coating makes it possible to neutralize the absorbency of cotton which is inconvenient in table use, and to retain only its other advantages. In case of unfortunate gesture, you can then wipe the stain out with a sponge which will avoid a laundry for a punctual fouling. For a tablecloth that is used daily, this is ideal.
This treatment is just as convenient for a less common use of your tablecloth. If you're setting up a party table, you'll want a freshly washed and ironed tablecloth. This is quite possible on a coated cotton cloth: it will have to be ironed on the back of the print to reactivate the waterproofing properties. Thus, your tablecloth will be protected from "accidents" that occur necessarily during a meal.
Stripe or allover?
The Avignon allover fabric is more suitable for everyday use, as it traces these calissons on a background of color, a very typical print of the region. A long time ago, these tiny drawings were indeed intended to break the monotony of plain cotton in clothing or decoration. They are perfect for a nicely dressed kitchen table, or a terrace table, and why not for a stylish picnic?
As for the stripe version, it is more decorated with many parallel friezes alternated with strips of calissons. We recommend this pattern for a square tablecloth more festive than its cousin: Christmas tablecloth in red or elegant dining table cloth in gray taupe. The color can also be chosen according to your interior.
One more word: matching napkins are made in Avignon allover fabric and are available in all colors. Up to you now!
