Floral dinnerware set
Opt for the cheerfulness of these pretty, floral dessert plates that will put a joyful ray of sunshine on your table.
The colors are delicious and rustic, highlighted by the enamel. The center is marked by a medallion underlined in the manner of lace. Three bouquets are distributed over the crown and a few white dots like seeds give relief to the surface of the plate.
The Cavaillon model is a fairly typical decoration of Provencal pottery, especially those of Vallauris, but this one is particularly successful. The collection also includes all the breakfast crockery, cups, mugs and teapot, dinnner plates, soup or pasta plates, and essential table accessories such as salad bowls, serving dishes or oven dishes. All items are oven and dishwasher safe.
You may want to change your used dishes. Also think about gifts (Mother's Day, a wedding ...) because a signed artisanal pottery will always be appreciated as a unique piece.
Vallauris, where this earthenware is made, has been one of the great Provencal potters' towns since the 16th century.
In the 1960s, the city even became an international art center thanks to emblematic figures such as Pablo Picasso and Jean Marais.
Today, unfortunately, only a handful of real workshops remain, and resist the curse of "made in China", among which Fabio, our flagship craftsman. Since 1980, he has been working to defend this centuries-old tradition.
So to speak, this plate is a survivor of this beautiful craftsmanship that we try to support despite globalization and its failings.
